About RCE

Since its inception in November 1993, the Faculty has annually organized the International Conference “Risk in Contemporary Economy,” a prominent scientific event presenting key research findings. The inaugural edition featured 54 papers in three sections with contributions from Romanian institutions as well as participants from France and Spain. The following editions expanded the scope—with the second edition (11–12 November 1994) presenting 72 papers from nine centers (five domestic and four international) and the third edition (10–11 November 1995) featuring 169 papers by 174 authors from fourteen centers (Spain, Republic of Moldova, Bulgaria, and France). This trend continued through subsequent editions, culminating in the fifteenth edition (9–10 May 2014), which showcased 63 papers by 104 authors from eighteen centers (fifteen domestic and three international: USA, Turkey, and Republic of Moldova).

International participation has fostered a fruitful exchange of ideas and research methodologies, leading to collaborations in publications, projects, and academic mobility. All papers presented in each edition have been published in volumes with ISBN numbers, and since 2007 an electronic version (ISSN 2067-0532) has been available. On 24 May 2013, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration hosted a scientific event dedicated to the eminent economist Anghel Rugina, marking the centenary of his birth and uniting prominent academics, researchers, and cultural figures.
